...a lifelong environmental activist in sync with Prince Albert II of Monaco

The film legend Robert Redford, who passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, was above all a tireless advocate for the environmental cause. A fight he shared with Prince Albert II of Monaco and which earned him several honors from the Principality.

In September 2019, ahead of the 3rd Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean, organized by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation with the support of Milutin Gatsby, Monaco-Matin interviewed Sophia, a humanoid robot developed by Hanson Robotics, about the reasons for her presence in Monaco.
