The 11th edition of the Riviera Electric Challenge will depart from Cros-de-Cagnes this Thursday, October 9, and travel to Monaco via Italy.

The Riviera Electric Challenge is back for its 11th edition. This eco-responsible competition focused on electric mobility will depart from Cros-de-Cagnes this Thursday, October 9, and travel to Monaco on Friday, after passing through Italy. Competitors will have to complete several challenges: driving while consuming as little energy as possible, a regularity test to adopt a consistent and controlled driving style, etc.

"This event brings together communities, businesses, and institutions around a common goal: to encourage electric mobility and the transition to environmentally friendly modes of transportation," says Louis Nègre, Mayor of Cagnes-sur-Mer.

Arrival and Prize Giving in Monaco

Around twenty vehicles will gather at the port of Cros-de-Cagnes this Wednesday, October 8th, for technical checks. The start is scheduled for Thursday at 8:30 a.m. On this first day, eleven inland towns (between Plan-du-Var and Menton, passing through Massoins and Châteauneuf-Villevieille) will be crossed to reach Dolceaqua, in Italy, the day's finishing point. On Friday, the vehicles will continue part of the day in Italy before returning to France, passing through Sospel and Peille. The race will then end in Monaco, at the Prince's Palace, around 4:00 p.m., with a prize giving ceremony.
