VIPs and models on the catwalk

Celebrating its link with the Principality and honouring Monegasque imagery, the fashion house's show polarised people and fashion personalities on Thursday 5th May.

First a roar. The sound of a Formula 1 engine racing through the speakers. The tempo is set, the music starts, the show begins.

In choosing Monaco as the setting for its 2022/2023 cruise collection, unveiled yesterday, Chanel wanted to play with all the facets that form the image of the Principality in the collective unconscious.

The Grand Prix in the foreground and its iconography infused the creative process of the fashion house's artistic director, Virginie Viard, to build this women's wardrobe for the beautiful days.
