In his traditional video message of New Year's greetings broadcast on the evening of December 31, Prince Albert II reiterated the need for national unity, while highlighting the major achievements of the past year.
As the year 2025, marking twenty years of his reign, draws to a close, Prince Albert II addressed the nation on Wednesday evening, December 31, in a video message broadcast on the Prince's Palace's social media channels. Respecting the tradition and ceremonial of New Year's greetings, the address concluded with Princess Charlene and their children, Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, joining the Sovereign to wish everyone a "Happy New Year" in French, English, and Monegasque before the camera.
But before that, the Prince had prepared his speech, emphasizing at the beginning of his address to the Monegasque population and residents of the Principality his desire to extend "to each and every one of you [his] wishes for health, success and happiness. And I would like to wish our entire community to continue to develop in serenity and unity."
