In Monaco, a fire quickly brought under control at the Louis-II stadium a few hours before the Champions League match

This Tuesday, January 21, shortly before 2 p.m., the Monaco firefighters intervened at the Louis-II stadium for a fire that had started. The flames were quickly brought under control using a fire hose.

A few hours before the Champions League match between AS Monaco and the English club Aston Villa, the Principality's firefighters intervened at the Louis-II stadium for a fire that had started. It broke out shortly before 2 p.m. in the kitchen of the apartment of the caretaker of the sports venue.

Located a few dozen meters from the scene of the intervention, 20 soldiers from the Fontvieille barracks quickly arrived with 6 vehicles and had little difficulty in bringing the flames under control using a fire hose. No casualties were reported.
The presence of a gas station on the ground floor

The presence of the Esso gas station on the ground floor was not, according to our information, a constraint for the firefighters since the site is secure and isolated from this risk.
The Louis-II stadium is often the scene of exercises for the Monegasque firefighters who, in fact, know the place well.
