A major anti-pollution exercise took place off the coast of Monaco this Friday to mark the 50th anniversary of the Ramoge Agreement

As part of the 50th anniversary of the Ramoge Agreement, the Principality, Italy and France joined forces to carry out a pollution response operation off the coast of Monaco this Friday.

This was a full-scale exercise in which Italy, France and the Principality took part jointly this Friday in Monaco. A ‘paper’ exercise, explains Lieutenant Dominique Metayer, seconded to the Orsec* unit at the Mediterranean Maritime Prefecture. In other words, a mechanised, simulated exercise, with resources nevertheless deployed on the ground.
