At the head of a Monegasque delegation composed of representatives of the Prince's Government and the Monegasque Red Cross, HSH the Sovereign Prince attended Monday, December 9, 2019, the opening ceremony of the XXXIII International Conference of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent, which is currently being held in Geneva until 12 December 2019.

Placed this year under the theme "Acting today to shape the world of tomorrow", this quadrennial conference brings together the entire Red Cross Movement (national societies, the International Committee of the Red Cross -CICR- and the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies - IFRC-) as well as the States Parties to the Geneva Conventions (70 years of which are celebrated this year), in order to reflect and make decisions on major humanitarian issues .
