The date of the traditional Monegask picnic “U Cavagnëtu” has been announced for 2026

The traditional gathering centred around the princely family will be held in Princess Antoinette Park, a little later in the season than usual.

The date has been set: Monaco Town Hall has just announced that it will be organising its traditional Monegasque picnic, ‘U Cavagnëtu’, on Saturday 19 September.

This year’s event is taking place a little later than usual, as it is normally held on the last weekend before the start of the new school term.

The timing may have changed, but the programme for the evening at Princess Antoinette Park remains the same. The first event, at 6 pm, will be a mass celebrated on the park’s multi-sports pitch, followed by a convivial picnic with live music, entertainment, socca and fougasses.

The Town Hall reminds attendees that this event is “reserved for Monegasques and their spouses.” Proof of identity will be required at the various entrances.
