A full house on Tuesday for its reopening

The brasserie on the Place du Casino came back to life this Tuesday lunchtime after a year and a half of renovation work, and there were already queues to discover the transformed premises or to sit on the terrace in the sunshine.

When the Café Divan opened in January 1868, the crowds were just as big? One hundred and fifty-five years later, a queue formed outside the Café de Paris on Tuesday lunchtime in the hope of getting a table for the first service of the reopening of the legendary brasserie on the Place du Casino.

As is often the case when a new establishment opens in Monte Carlo, everyone wants to come.

So when it's the Principality's oldest drinking and dining establishment, you have to be patient before sitting down at the bar and restaurant on Tuesday.

The monumental chandelier and grand staircase were widely photographed by customers on Tuesday 14 November for this first opening.
