According to French media information, Chelsea and Monaco have agreed to transfer 17-year-old English defender Jonathan Panzo, a native of London. The Monegassen want to finalize the deal later this week.

In times of high prices on the transfer market, many clubs, including those in charge of the Bundesliga, are trying to attract young talent as early as possible to avoid high transfer fees. In the case of Jonathan Panzo, this project did not work. The only 17-year-old central defender had offers from Gladbach and Frankfurt available, but ultimately decides for the AS Monaco, as RMC Sport (*) reports.

For several weeks, those responsible from Monaco have been tempted to find a player for the defensive, which is centrally deployable. Now you seem to have found this player in London. One can be quite happy in Monaco, because apparently several clubs were interested in the services of the young British.

In addition to the AS Monaco, FC Valencia from Spain, as well as Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Mönchengladbach from Germany have been interested in the teenager and have tried to beat the offer from the Principality. In vain, as it seems, and so the surcharge goes to Monaco. Three million euros plus bonuses, the responsible have cost the player.
